Shimizu gives different values for Al-based thermite:

45% Al fine flake (means bronze or bright)

55% Fe2O3 by weight

This doesn´t fit into the 1:2,75 thing anyway....?!

AV, are you SURE about the delta H value of Fe3O4? that is a VERY VERY large negative number. Where did you find the standard enthalpy value for Fe3O4?
